in this age of uncertainty
and we try to keep it together
for a sense of integrity

With an ache in the heart
sifting through the dirt
watching the western sun set,
we are on on democracy alert

intuition is strong,
how many years will they worship war
how will we undo these wrongs?

I cry nightly for the millions dead
a slaughter that I see in my head
